Privacy Policy

Fundy is a learning app for personal finance, mutual funds and stocks. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can have it removed. It covers both this website (getfundy.app) and the Fundy mobile app.
Fundy is currently run by Jagadeesh Dondeti, an individual based in India, who is the data fiduciary responsible for your personal data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If that changes — for example if Fundy is incorporated — this page will be updated.
What we collect on this website
If you join the early access list, we store:

That is all. This website sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers.
We do measure how the site is used, with Vercel Web Analytics. It records page views and a few events — that a signup happened, and which course was chosen — along with the page, referrer, country, and general device type. It does not use cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. Your email address is never sent to it.
Your IP address is used momentarily to rate-limit the signup form so it cannot be abused. It is held in server memory for a few minutes and is never written to our database.
What we collect in the app

| A device identifier | A random ID created on first launch, so activity before you sign in can be joined to your account afterwards. |
Pricing research during early access
Fundy is in early access and we do not collect payments. You may occasionally see a screen showing a price for a course. No payment is taken and no card details are ever requested or stored.
We record whether you chose to continue at that price, and the reason you give if you decline, so we can work out what Fundy should cost. This is research, not a charge.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We use these service providers to run Fundy:

These providers may process and store data outside India, including in the United States. We may also disclose data if required by law.
How long we keep it
Waitlist emails are kept until early access finishes or you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. Account and progress data is kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it by law.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data and your account;
- withdraw consent you previously gave; and
- nominate someone to exercise these rights if you cannot.
Email getfundy@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. To leave the waitlist, email the same address and we will delete your entry — no account needed.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Fundy is intended for people aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email getfundy@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Security
Data is stored in Google Firebase with access restricted to Fundy administrators, and all traffic to this site and the app is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will notify you and the Data Protection Board if a breach affects you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and move the “last updated” date. For significant changes during early access, we will email people on the waitlist.
